Plymouth Yoga Room proudly offers

Yoga Alliance-Registered Teacher Training!

A clear method. Rooted in tradition. Taught with consistency.

Brent and Sheri Rieli will personally guide you through over 200 hours of training that integrates meditation, asana, and the foundational principles of yoga into a cohesive and lived experience.

The program begins with Ashtanga Vinyasa, offering a clear and structured approach to understanding movement, breath, and attention. From there, it gradually evolves into Yoga Flow, a more adaptable and intuitive practice that allows each student to move in alignment with their own breath.

This progression reflects the foundation of the Plymouth Yoga Room method. It is a practice that remains grounded in tradition while staying responsive to the individual.

▸ A consistent method

you can trust

At Plymouth Yoga Room, our teaching is built around a clear and consistent method. When you take a class here, you recognize the structure, the pacing, and the intention behind it. Each teacher brings their own presence, but the foundation remains the same. This training is designed to give you that same sense of clarity and continuity in your own teaching.

▸ ROOTED IN TRADITION

Our approach stays close to the core elements of yoga — breath, attention, structure.

Over time, this creates a practice that feels steady, grounded, and easier to return to. Throughout the training, you’ll learn how to work with these elements in a clear and consistent way. The focus is on developing a practice that you understand deeply and can guide others through with confidence.

▸ guided by teachers with decades of experience

With over 30 years of combined experience, Brent and Sheri bring more than technical knowledge into the training space. Their teaching is shaped by years of practice, observation, and lived experience. Throughout the program, the focus is not on memorizing sequences, but on understanding what you are doing and why it matters.

You’ll be encouraged to observe your own practice more closely, refine your awareness, and develop a more intelligent and responsive relationship with both body and breath.

Whether you have a desire to teach or just want to deepen your practice, this training is for you.

“I cannot speak highly enough about the Yoga Immersion Program that Brent and Sheri have built at the Plymouth Yoga Room! The years of experience and shared wisdom that Brent and Sheri possess have shaped their ability to create such a fantastic program. There is a tremendous amount of attention, detail, and care given to every aspect of the program. Such intentionality really allows you to so wonderfully deepen your practice. Through the teacher training program at Plymouth Yoga Room, I was able to strengthen and explore new depths within my own practice, build and then refine teaching skills, and to be a part of a wonderful community - all invaluable gifts that I am truly so grateful for.”

Meet your teachers

We’re Brent and Sheri, the owners of Plymouth Yoga Room,

and together we bring over 30 years of yoga experience to both Plymouth Yoga Room and Yoga Immersion.

When we first began practicing yoga, there were not many styles available. Over the years, our practice deeply rooted this tradition in our lives and created a strong desire to give back and share yoga with others.

That desire led us to pursue teacher training. We completed our training through Body Language, Jonny Kest’s Center for Yoga, and The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute with Beryl Bender. Since then, we have continued to refine our teaching through years of observation and practice. Our approach continues to evolve with experience, knowledge, and wisdom.

We opened Plymouth Yoga Room in 2009 with the intention of creating a space that feels welcoming, grounded, and real. Over the years, it has grown into a strong and supportive community—one that feels like a family. A place where our students return not just to practice, but to connect, feel seen, and grow together.

“I joined the training at a moment of uncertainty, and it turned out to be exactly the right time to start. What stood out most was the sense of community and the support, not just from Brent and Sheri, but from everyone at the studio.

Throughout the training, I discovered a level of discipline and capacity I didn’t know I had, and that growth extended far beyond the mat. It wasn’t just about learning to teach, but about understanding myself more deeply and building something that stayed with me in everyday life.”

Mary D.

“I chose to do the training when the timing finally felt right, and instead of overcomplicating my practice, it actually deepened it in a really natural way.

What I valued most was having dedicated time for myself, something I hadn’t given myself in a long time. The experience is very personal. Whether you want to teach or simply grow in your practice, it meets you where you are. The structure, the community, and the foundation in traditional yoga gave me a much clearer understanding of the practice.”

FAQ

How many hours per week should I expect to commit?

The training is structured to be consistent and manageable, even alongside work and other responsibilities. You can expect to dedicate your scheduled training sessions plus a few additional hours during the week for study, reflection, and practice. It’s a commitment, but it’s designed to fit into real life. Most of our students are working full-time while completing the program.

Do I need to be advanced or experienced?

Not at all. You don’t need to be able to do advanced poses or feel “perfect” in your practice. What matters most is that you have some consistency in your practice and a genuine interest in learning more deeply. This training is where you build understanding, not where you prove how much you already know.

Will I receive a certification at the end?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification. Our program is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training. Once you complete the training, you’ll be eligible to register as an RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance.

Are Feedback Classes required?

Feedback Classes are not required to complete the training. After finishing the program, you’ll receive your certification. Continuing with Feedback Classes is optional and intended for those who wish to become teachers at the studio. If you choose to continue, you’ll be supported throughout the process—you’ll have the opportunity to observe classes and practice teaching.
